Iliana was born and raised in Costa Rica, where she attended law school and worked as an attorney in civil, commercial, labor and corporate law. Over 20 years ago she moved to the U.S. and experienced the process of becoming an American citizen herself.
That experience led her to Florida International University, where she earned her LL.M. She was later admitted to the New York Bar and became an active immigration attorney. Iliana resides in Palm Beach County with her husband and two kids and remains active in the local community.
